NVBR Releases January 2019 Market Statistics
The Northwestern Vermont Board of REALTORS® (NVBR) has released its market statistics for January 2019. The information is derived from data contained in the New England Real Estate Network and covers Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.
Changes for January over last year at this time include:
New Listings were up 23.5 percent for Single Family homes but decreased 2.3 percent for Townhouse-Condo properties.
Pending sales increased 17.0 percent for Single Family homes but decreased 15.9 percent for Townhouse-Condo properties.
The median sales price was up 6.1 percent to $286,454 for Single Family homes and increased 16.6 percent to $244,815 for townhouse-condo properties.
Closed sales decreased 3.0 percent for Single Family properties and remained flat for townhouse-condo properties.
Average days on market decreased 28.4 percent or to 81 days for Single Family homes and decreased 10.1 percent or 71 days for the townhouse-condo market.
Month’s supply of inventory decreased 10.0 percent for Single Family units but increased 8.0 for townhouse- condo units.
