August 27, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Kathleen A. Sweeten, CEO The Northwestern Vermont Board of REALTORS® (NVBR) has released its market statistics for July 2019. The information is derived from data contained in the New England Real Estate Network and covers Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.
Changes for July over last year at this time include:
New Listings increased 15.0 percent for Single Family homes but decreased 5.0 percent for Townhouse-Condo properties.
Pending sales increased 33.5 percent for Single Family homes and increased 5.6 percent for Townhouse-Condo properties.
Inventory decreased 11.8 percent for single-family homes and 28.6 percent for Townhouse-Condo properties.
The median sales price was up 5.2 percent to $315,500 for Single Family homes and increased 8.0 percent to $258,000 for townhouse-condo properties.
Closed sales increased 21.3 percent for Single Family properties but decreased 1.4 percent for townhouse-condo properties.
Days on market decreased 23.1 percent or to 68 days for Single Family homes but increased 31.4 percent or to 67 days for the townhouse-condo market.
Month’s supply of inventory decreased 17.3 percent for Single Family units and decreased 27.3 percent for townhouse-condo units.
