Vermont Real Estate Company Goes Remote
Updated: Mar 25
Though we are limiting our exposure to our clients, we are still busy! We have more accepted agreements and pending properties in the last few weeks than this same time last year, proving that the market is still going strong in the face of the pandemic.
While it is impossible to predict what will happen next week, we are staying positive that the Spring market will blossom, albeit a few weeks later than expected. While we wait for the virus to clear, we're doing our part to protect our friends, family, and community while keeping real estate transactions moving along. Read on!
Last week we started conducting "virtual showings" for our clients, following all CDC recommended practices when entering properties and using necessary precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. With the Governor's 'Stay At Home' order, we are coordinating with sellers to provide video walk-through options so you can tour the house you are interested in. We go above and beyond for our clients and are happy to extend this service so long as it remains safe for both our agents and homeowners.
All of our agents are working remotely, utilizing phone, email, and video chat to connect with buyers and sellers. Our team is adamant about staying healthy to protect the community and are taking every precaution. We encourage our friends, family, and clients to take the same care when practicing social distancing.
If you only just started your home search or you are curious about the value of your home (inventory is still low!), now is a great time to connect. Our agents will be happy to talk you through the first steps of buying a new home. While we won't meet you in a coffee shop, we can very easily conduct a buyer or seller consultation over Zoom, FaceTime, or any of the other video chat platforms out there. We offer plenty of flexibility as you adjust to a new schedule impacted by remote work and kids home from school.
Since we started back in 2017, we have utilized the Dotloop digital signature platform. While the primary goal is to help manage transactions, the platform has the added benefits of reducing paper waste, easing the logistics for out-of-state clients, and now reduces agent-client exposure to COVID-19. We can complete your real estate deal without meeting at one of our offices, a coffee shop, or your living room.
We are keeping a positive attitude here at Vermont Real Estate Company and hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy! We are busy at work, keeping up with the shifting changes to the climate and the market we are experiencing daily.
While our Burlington and Montpelier offices are closed to the public, all of our agents are working remotely, and are available to answer your questions. We look forward to working with you through these challenging times ahead.
