Greensboro is a small, charming town located in the picturesque Northeast Kingdom region of Vermont. This quaint corner of the state is filled with rolling hills, farmland, lakes, and endless woods. Greensboro has four seasons of activities in and around the area, from ice fishing and skiing in the winter to farmers markets and swimming in the summer. One of the best family-friendly ski areas in the state, Burke Mountain, is 45 minutes to the east and features a variety of terrain for all levels. During the summer, the Burke area comes back to life thanks to the Kingdom Trails which draws in mountain bikers from around the country. Looking to relax on a hot summer day? Wilson Farm in Greensboro has ice cream to cool off and a variety of local produce, meats, cheese, and herbs, open from May-October. Local arts thrive in the NEK, which can be seen at the Highland Center for the Arts. The Lakeview Union School currently enrolls 49 students in Greensboro and serves children grades K-6. Just one town over, in Craftsbury, is the Craftsbury Academy (a public school) which serves grades 7-12 and enrolls 209 students. 

 

Greensboro has employment opportunities in a variety of fields. The Greensboro Nursing Home employs RN’s, LPN’s and other positions in the healthcare field. During all four seasons, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center employs folks to help with XC skiing events, weekly running races, mountain bike trail maintenance, and other outdoor related-work. Saint Johnsbury is the closest small city, and is home to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital which has positions from RN’s to janitorial and maintenance services.
