Wilmington is a charming small town in Southern Vermont with a population of 475 people, beautiful mountains, delicious restaurants, and thriving small businesses. Wilmington borders Dover and Stratton to the north, the Massachusetts border just 10 miles South, and Brattleboro 20 miles to the east.

Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains, Wilmington boasts a unique variety of activities for every season. During the winter, head just 15 minutes north up VT Route 100 to Mount Snow, and another 25 minutes further to Stratton Mountain. Both of these resorts offer some of the best skiing in Southern Vermont, along with spas, restaurants and cross-country skiing. Come summertime, Mount Snow is one of the oldest running lift-access downhill bike parks in the country, with trails for all levels. Just to the west of town is the Harriman Reservoir, the largest body of water solely in Vermont. The reservoir is perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing during the warm summer months. Haystack mountain looks down over Wilmington and is a great day hike featuring tremendous views over the valley.

Wilmington has a tight-knit community, and puts on events to help bring people together. Events range from the Blueberry Block Party, to Circus in the Summer, to Brewers Festivals. The downtown area has some delicious eats. Looking for a modern neighborhood bistro serving couples by candlelight? Folly is the place to be. If you want to check out the local scene the Wilmington Village Pub is the perfect place for area beers and quick eats. Mount Snow has weekly “Base Area Block Parties” with food, music, beer, and dancing on Fridays during the summer.

The Twin Valley School District serves Wilmington and the surrounding area. The small school district has 450 students in K-12, with one elementary school and a combined middle/high school. Wilmington has a variety of employment opportunities, from contractors and builders like Moosehead Cedar Log Homes to lodging, shopping, and leisure industry jobs. Brattleboro is 35 minutes to the east and has one of the largest employers in the region, the Brattleboro Retreat.

Wilmington's small-town charm, quaint shops, green mountains, and connected community will have you feeling at home in no time!
