If you prefer a commute, Home Depot in Rutland is just under 30 minutes away. Looking for a career in higher education? The town is located on the Neshobe River and is a 15-minute drive to Lake Dunmore. Branbury State Park on Lake Dunmore is a great place to camp, canoe, or spend a day at the beach. The Moosalamoo National Recreation Area is also 15 minutes away, a place that makes opportunities for recreation, education, and wildlife habitat conservation. Hike on Moosalamoo’s various trails and keep an eye out for classic Vermont wildlife!

 

One of the most interesting things you can do is visit the Maple View Farm Alpacas. This is a 100-acre farm where you can spend time with alpacas and learn more about them, a great place to take kids! If you enjoy golf, Brandon has its very own golf course, where you can join the Neshobe Golf Club. The club has many different memberships so you can find the right one for your golf needs! Better yet, this golf course sits right on the Neshobe River, where you’ll see some pretty great views. Overall, Brandon is a great place to call home.
