North Hero, Vermont, is a part of the picturesque and charming Champlain Islands region, which sits between mainland Vermont and New York. The 1,211 residents enjoy easy access to the pristine waters of Lake Champlain and activities year-round, as well as convenient amenities nearby.

Ice fishing around the island is an angler's dream, and snowshoeing through various state parks and natural areas is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Well, you're in luck: Jay Peak and Smugglers Notch Resort are both just over an hour to the east in the beautiful Green Mountains. 

North Hero is a part of the Grand Isle Supervisory Union, which serves students PK-8 in the region. In town, 67 students aged PK-6 in North Hero attend the North Hero School. Farming and agriculture make up much of the employment in the Champlain Islands, with larger employers in St. Albans and Burlington. Companies such as Seventh Generation, Beta Technologies, and the UVM Medical Center are all within a 45-minute drive.
