For K-8, students in South Hero attend Folsom Education and Community Center, which has an enrollment of 151. From there, students have the choice to attend high schools in Colchester, Essex, or South Burlington. South Hero has exceptional agriculture due to its fertile, rolling farmland, and that is where much of the employment lies. Pigasus Meats is a small farm which employs seasonal help.
