Woodbury is a small, rural, charming Vermont town located in the state's Northeast Kingdom (NEK) region. The picturesque scenery doesn't stop with the pristine forests and mountain views - Woodbury is home to many small lakes and ponds, perfect for fishing or swimming. The town has a small population of 752 as of 2018, giving residents plenty of privacy and quiet at home.

Woodbury is located in Washington County, home to Vermont's capital, Montpelier. The capital is 30 minutes to the south, through the winding turns and farms along route 14. This route is also the way to the nearest interstate, I-89. The state's largest city, Burlington, is 1:15 to the west along the interstate. Looking for a weekend escape? Montreal is just under 3 hours to the north through some of Vermont's most untouched terrain. Boston is just over three hours away, down I-89 and I-93.

The outdoor adventure and community engagement opportunities in Woodbury and the surrounding area are plentiful in all four seasons. Cycling and hiking in the area are lovely on the quiet roads and trails, and ice fishing and skiing are excellent ways to keep the cold winter fun. The summer months are perfect for swimming in one of the town's many lakes or visiting the Hardwick Farmers Market just up the road. Interested in a view of Mt. Washington and Mt. Mansfield from one of Vermont's most beautiful peaks? Check out Mount Hunger via the Middlesex trailhead. The NEK also plays host to many events throughout the year, like the Dog Mountain Fall Dog Party in autumn or the Cabot Arts and Music Festival at the end of July.

Elementary school students in town can attend the Woodbury Elementary School, which enrolls 49 students PK-6. The nearest high school is Hazen Union High School in Hardwick, just 10 minutes up the road. These schools operate under the Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union, whose mission is to "work together to be stronger together." Cabot is a Vermont-based creamery best known for its cheddar cheese, whose headquarters are 15 minutes away. They are hiring for manufacturing and office positions, which can be found here. One of the largest employers in the area is the Central Vermont Medical Center, which is based in Montpelier and has a variety of job openings, from RNs to accounting.
